Happy release day to Love Rewritten!
Abby Scofield’s love life has been all sorts of wrong.
So when lacrosse star, Brandon Kessler, comes along with his all-American good looks, easy disposition and magnetic charm, things seem to be looking up. Even if they come from two totally different worlds.
Xander Novak is the ridiculously hot, volatile and often times mean best friend of Abby’s twin brother, Aubrey. Her relationship with him is strained at best. But when Xander moves in unexpectedly, things seem to shift between them. But in what direction?
One night of deception, lies, and heartbreak are a common link the three share. When the truth about that night comes out, none of their lives will ever be the same.
Will Abby be able to find the love she’s been searching for or will everything in her world fall apart?
Warning: Strong language and moderate sexual content.
I have been in awe of Ms. Julie’s writing ever since she approached me for her book, Start Again. Then I also reviewed her second book in the series, Start Over, with which I promptly fell head over heels in love with. The third book in this series, Start With Me, will be soon released by the end of this year! I couldn’t be more excited!
Love Rewritten is story about realizing that the love that you were looking for, is right there. She’s at times, unwilling to admit it, but when she finally does, everything in her heart explodes with all the love stored in it.
This book is packed with emotions and little action filled through and through. Abby is a very strong character and is quite easily relatable; she is very much human, just like all of us. She makes mistakes, and once she realizes it, she owns it up and doesn’t back down when someone is wrong in something. She confronts them and makes them realize that they are wrong. I admire her very much and she doesn’t need any saving from any man. Even that man knows it and admires that amazing quality.
Xander is annoying and sassy but I like him. I like how he very supportive of all of Abby’s decisions, even when her own twin and his best friend, Aubrey, isn’t. He knows Abby is strong. He knows when to give her the space she needs and when to smother her with love. When he doesn’t, Abby voices it out.
Aubrey is a complex character and sometimes can be mean. But as a supportive brother, he is all one girl needs.
Overall, this book is a must read for all J Saman’s fans (like me ;)) It released today, so grab it!
Recommendation: If you are looking for a book with a really strong female protagonist, this is one you should not miss!
