After twenty-year-old Kinsley is dumped by her longtime boyfriend, she escapes to her grandparent’s Colorado cabin to rethink her future and focus on her writing. But when she arrives, she finds a patchy roof, a death-trap deck, and rosebushes that threaten to swallow her whole. Just when Kinsley’s ready to cut her losses and return home, she meets Jack—the local handyman with hazel eyes and a wicked smirk.
Thinking Jack is precisely the meaningless summer distraction she needs, Kinsley resolves to rough it in the cabin despite its current lack of water, electricity, Internet, cell phone service, and heat.
But soon Kinsley realizes that Jack isn’t distraction material. He might just end up being something a little more essential…
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an Honest review.
Don’t you just love the cover? It’s so dreamy and cute that if I saw it in a book store, I wouldn’t think twice about buying it.
It’s a summer romance. God, I am a big sucker for summer romances and I absolutely loved this one!
It has a good story line. It was well paced, never rushed (damn, that one kiss took so long!) and keeping us in enough anticipation to want more.
I loved the characters! Being a writer myself, I can see where Kinsley is coming from! I loved her sisters and their endless support. I loved loved Jack (who wouldn’t?). I loved the nature trails and the slightly dramatic adventure they had. I loved the cabin. I can see myself like that in a few years’ time ;). I loved Peter, Amber and Agnes. I loved them all.
Recommendation: To all Romance Lovers!!
